It’s been a crazy few months since my last post here on the blog. I blame two interrupters: a new online class opening (more about that in a minute) and some crazy big news – we are moving again! It may sound slightly insane to pack up the brushes all over again, less than a year after relocating from Texas to Colorado. But my brushes just weren’t dancing in this little downstairs studio. I have been craving more natural light, bigger windows and higher ceilings. Finding the daily motivation to paint is not a small thing, when your business revolves around the fruits of constant creativity.
When I mentioned this dilemma to Carlos, my hubby, he immediately began house hunting. Less than a week later, we were looking at homes around The Springs, and within four weeks we found a custom home originally built by artists, filled with natural light, a beautiful art studio, and just five miles from our current home. I’ve not studied visioning a great deal, but imagining a space that would be a creator’s dream come true might just be what the angels sensed when they sent this home our way. It takes courage to dream, and hard work to keep a small business afloat, especially these days. I’m so incredibly thankful for the new journey ahead, and a new place to create. I’ll be sharing pictures – including all the aches and pains and joys and delights of moving – in the weeks to come. And now for some even bigger news:
It’s no secret that being shut in makes us dream of beautiful places and in just a few weeks, I’m taking you with me to one of the most beautiful places in the world – Monet’s Garden.
Return to Monet’s Garden is a six-week online journey to the world created from seed to petal, from earth to sky, by the vision of the Father of Impressionism.
Return to Monet’s Garden is part 2 of my original (and most popular online class), Painting Monet’s Garden, which opened over a year ago. We’re taking this colorful journey one step further, at a time when escaping to a place where the beauty of nature surrounds and heals, is most needed.
Return to Monet’s Garden will include seven full-length lessons you can download and keep. Every full-length painting shared has never before been taught, so all the exciting color ahead is fresh as a daisy for your brush and your inner muse. For those who are already a part of the Monet family in my online classes, I’m so excited to open the green gates for you one more time, and share even more beautiful images and inspirations from the gardens Monet loved best. In just a few weeks, my newest online painting journey begins – Return to Monet’s Garden is filled with the joy and wonder of the gardens of Giverny. With landscapes and floral paintings you can download and keep, join me for a beautiful dip into the world where sky meets water, and color knows no boundaries. All lessons have never been seen or shared previously, so every step will be filled with exciting new experiences filled with a world of creative possibilities.
