Love in Bloom Acrylics is the new journey for which many of Nancy's 1800 online students have been patiently waiting.

“Nancy I've been quietly enjoying my wonderful online lessons in Painting Brilliant Colors and the Painting Brilliant Colors Facebook community is the best. I can't say enough...you are a great teacher. This is a new world for me (painting) and as a beginner in acrylics, your lessons bring a daily smile to my face and my life. I've learned so much from you, Nancy. I can't thank you enough for sharing your bliss. By doing so, you encourage me to follow my own.” ~ Valerie B
“I just watched your online class. You can't know but you have succeeded in opening me up and helping me through my journey. I take care of my mother and she and my two girls are my only family. They found cancer in her kidneys and I am terrified. But this is such a happy place for me. I am overwhelmed and feel like I am under water sometimes. But I have this escape and it is like meditation. All I see when I paint is this. Thank you so much, Nancy, for giving me permission to say I am an artist.” ~ Elizabeth M
“I've been with Nancy since her first online class and I love painting with her. Until Nancy, I was basically a failure to launch, always studying but rarely painting, so basically a dreamer. Thanks to Nancy, I paint now. Vivid color is something totally new to me, so I just try to follow Nancy's lead. Little did I understand at this phase of my life how much I needed vivid color, the colors over a period of time permeate your soul. I want to see the world like Monet meeting Disney and Nancy is spreading her magic across the globe. Newcomers, you are going to find her color healing and addictive.” ~ Patricia W
“This is my second online class with Nancy and I am hooked. I find her use of color to make every painting come alive fascinating. I am learning a lot and can see myself improving after every lesson.
For one thing, my brush strokes are looser (weaned from a 2-hair brush to 3/4"), and I blend less. I wish you a wonderful experience from this class” ~ Kathy L

How will the course be structured?
You’ll get full-length painting lessons to download and keep, resource videos, and inspiring images. You can share your experiences, encourage fellow students, and find inspiration from new painting friends in your private Facebook group during this exciting journey workshop.
Can I paint in oils in this class?
Absolutely! Just let us know when you sign up and Nancy will send you a list of color conversions for oil painters. Keep in mind, however, that all the lessons are taught in acrylics, and the palette map and supply list is provided in acrylics.
I’m an oil painter just learning acrylics - is this for me?
In her studio in Colorado Springs, Nancy works in both acrylics and oils regularly. Transitioning to acrylics is a way to embrace the brightest colors in your work - you get easier cleanup, brighter color, and fewer chemicals in the studio compared with oils - there are no solvents used with acrylic paints. Nancy teaches to all levels in the online class, so it's the perfect way to ease into a new medium.
What will we be painting?
Check out the images above to see all the painting lessons in this class. We’ll be painting both florals and landscapes filled with color. You’ll get to paint and experience your lessons from the comfort of your own studio. Included will be tulips, lavender fields, wildflowers, daisies, poppies, and more! Nancy uses the same basic palette for everything she creates, with a few exceptions that are shared in each painting exercise.
Do I need high-speed internet?
Yes – it will help alleviate frustration. We have the best support team you'll find in e-course instruction, so you’ll always have prompt responses to help you every step of the way.
I can’t register now - can I join the class later in the year?
No. Once registration closes, we will not be accepting new students. Seats will be limited for this one-of-a-kind painting experience, so don’t delay, flower friend!
Will I have enough time?
Yes! You can download and keep all of your full-length painting lessons to paint anytime. I encourage you to watch the videos first, and then dive into the materials with paint brushes loaded. All of the lessons and experiences are arranged in a way that guides you through the beauty, the color, and the creative energy of painting impressionistically in acrylics.
What supplies will I need?
You can find the supply list by clicking here. The acrylic heavy body supply list is provided here. Any professional brand or equivalent is good! Nancy uses: Quinacridone Red (or Permanent Rose); Quinacridone Magenta, Cobalt Violet Hue by Golden (or Quinacridone Violet by Utrecht), Light and Medium Violet by Sennelier, Burnt Umber, Cadmium Red Hue, Cadmium Yellow Hue, Dioxazine Purple, Turquoise, Parchment by Sennelier (or Titan Buff), Neutral Gray N8 (Golden), Titanium White, Alizarin Crimson, Indian Yellow, Yellow Iron Oxide (or Yellow Ochre), Chromium Oxide, Hookers Green Hue, Ultramarine Blue, Quinacridone Nickel Azo Gold by Golden (or Red Iron Oxide). Optional colors are Cadmium Orange Hue, Bright Yellow Green by Sennelier and Light Ultramarine Blue by Golden. Nancy uses stretched cotton canvases and Ampersand Gessobord panels. The SG 700 Royal soft grip brush costs about $2, so keep four or five of these next to your palette, and she also uses the Royal Sabletek Langickel No. 14 and an occasional filbert brush in sizes 12 or 8, and you can use any brand.
Can I sell and exhibit the work I create in this workshop?
One of Nancy's intentions in this course is to help you develop your powerful and personal connection with painting from life. You may donate or gift the paintings from this course, but each of the paintings is copyright protected. Your own style will show when you work from your own flower setups and photos. We are happy for you to show and sell your own original, innovative work created. However, if your work is more similar to the original paintings in the copyrighted lesson videos, we would ask that you don’t put those pieces out to exhibit or sell, if they are close copies of Nancy's work. You are always welcome to share your work on social media, as long as you give attribution to the teacher. We trust that your heart will tell you what is too close.
New to painting or acrylics?
All of Nancy's classes are designed step by step, sharing each tool, how she uses the tools, and detailed information on each color and color mix she uses. All classes are designed for beginning painters on up, with an emphasis on loosening up and learning to take joy in the painting process itself. Whether you're switching from oils to acrylics, or learning acrylics for the first time, this space is reserved for you!
