Stay Awhile

Stay Awhile is my invitation to slow down, take a breath, and bask in the beauty of the moment. I painted this turquoise chair as a cozy retreat, softened by the warmth of sunlight and surrounded by a flurry of blooms in every direction. There’s a straw hat left behind and a journal resting nearby, as if someone just stepped away for lemonade. Rich reds, deep purples, and soft greens wrap around the space like a hug from an old friend. This is the kind of scene I return to in my mind when I need peace—a gentle garden breeze, a quiet afternoon, and nothing on the to-do list but rest. I hope it gives you that same sense of calm and contentment.
